I run a recipe/cooking/lifestyle group on Facebook and I spend a LOT of time cooking. As a result, my knives take it in the shorts. The best quality chef’s knife in the world is still useless if the blade is dull, not to mention dangerous. As anyone that cooks knows, you don’t cut yourself with sharp knives – you cut yourself because of dull ones. As of now, I no longer have any dangerous knives in my kitchen because of this little beauty! Don’t let the low price throw you – this is an excellent sharpener. It is super easy to use and so small you can leave it on the counter (so you remember to use it!). Highly recommend! 🙂

Wow, this sharpener literally kept me from throwing away one of my knives. I have a counter chopping block set of knives, not high quality, but a solid set. The rod sharpener to the set broke and we had no way to sharpen the knives I use most often. The knives became so dull it was really pathetic. So, I invested in this sharpener. I had to put the knife through the coarse sharpening side about 4-5 times (sets of 6 passes through the sharpener) to get an edge back on the knife, then finished it on the fine sharpening side. WOW. like a brand new knife!!! I was skeptical because of the not great quality of the knives to begin with, but this sharpener did the trick!

I got this sharpener because my knives (which are not that old) started to be slightly blunt. I wanted to have a sharpener in hand to prevent them go bad. I like the feature of having a side to sharpen serrated knives, which I could not find in other sharpeners. I almost have had it for a year now and it is still super sharpener. It is very light and small so it does not take much space in my kitchen drawer. I love it and use it almost everyday !
